October is
National Bullying Prevention Month and
October 2 is our
Annual Solidarity Day for the Archdiocese. Here at St. James, we are taking special time during this week to reflect and act on our theme
"United in Love". We are asking our students and families to celebrate the things that bring us together in our homes, our classrooms, our school and our town. As we celebrate these things that unite us, we will also share acts of kindness to further
unite us in love.
Start by sharing these ideas below at home with your family and help us spread kindness throughout our school and our town!
Monday, October 1: United in Friendship Smile in friendship to 5 people (don't forget to make eye contact!)
Tuesday, October 2: United in Solidarity WEAR
ORANGE for Solidarity Day.
Read the Solidarity Day prayer together. (see prayer below)
Wednesday, October 3: United in Caring Compliment 5 people.
Thursday, October 4: United in Appreciation Thank 5 people for how they have shown kindness to you this week.
Friday, October 5: United in Thankfulness Thank God for 5 blessings in your life.
Thank you very much for your support and for helping us grow a culture of kindness. We are St. James School and we are
United in Love!
Almighty and ever-living God, empower your one human family to join hands on our journey of faith. Send us your spirit of hope, so that we may work to alleviate human suffering and foster charity and justice in our world.
